Meet the Team

Rachel Evans
Rachel is one of the Founding Directors at TEP. She brings over 34 years of highly relevant experience in the education sector, spanning operational administration, team management, and strategic oversight. A native of Cambridge, Rachel began her extensive career in education, where her roles included Examinations Manager and Deputy Registrar at Cambridge Regional College. During this time, she was responsible for managing large teams of Examinations and Registry staff, overseeing the complex administration of all examinations, enrolment processes, and the critical management of student data and funding. In 2005, Rachel transitioned her skills to become a Work Experience Coordinator for Connexions. In this capacity, she focused on partnership building, successfully collaborating with local schools and businesses to design and deliver safe, meaningful, and highly enjoyable work placements for students. Rachel holds a degree in Education and Biology from the University of Surrey. Her combination of extensive administrative management expertise, local labour market knowledge, and direct student engagement encouraged her to form TEP. Personal interests include spectating at most sports, particularly Cricket, eating out, gardening and DIY. Spending time with her sons and family also plays a big part in her life.
Lesley Keal

Born and bred in Lincolnshire, I worked across the country for The Post Office for over 20 years in a variety of roles, including training staff for branch offices and management training. My last role before taking voluntary redundancy was as a Partnership Manager in Central London, where I managed key stakeholder relationships.
After moving back towards my home county of Lincolnshire via Cambridgeshire, I now live in Stamford. I worked for Cambridgeshire County Council, running the vacancy service for young people. While there, I was seconded to the National Apprenticeship Service to assist with setting up an online Apprenticeship vacancy portal. Working with key stakeholders, including employers, schools, and training providers, the portal was rolled out nationally.
We then used our experience and knowledge to establish The Employability Partnership 13 years ago, which is where I am now.
My personal interests include travel, watching sports, particularly Formula 1, rugby, and football. I've attended the Monaco Grand Prix, Rugby World Cup, Olympic Games, and Commonwealth Games. I enjoy the local restaurant and try to work the calories off with Zumba twice a week.
